For the second year, the Choiseul Institute wanted to honor the companies that, between the SMEs and the large groups, make the French economy shine in many ways without always taking center stage in the media.
It has identified, listed and ranked the 150 leading companies that are conquering their markets. This ranking, entitled “The New Conquerors of the Economy”, pays tribute to the structures that lie between the young start-ups of the “start-up nation” and the CAC 40 companies. Numerous indicators and objective criteria were taken into account to classify the companies identified in five categories reflecting the main characteristics of these conquerors: growth; human capital and territories; innovation; international; strategic autonomy. The winning companies include Alain Afflelou, Bonduelle, Babilou, Devoteam, Kiloutou, La Redoute, LDLC, Raja, Maisons du Monde, Showroom privé, Trigano, Vicat, Groupe Atlantic, Edenred, Fleury Michon, Manutan, Paprec, Bénéteau, Pierre Fabre, Hurgo, Webhelp, Andros, Bic, Codalie, Chargeurs, Derichebourg, Groupe Rocher, Sisley, Somfy, Ubisoft…
To celebrate the 2021 edition of the Choiseul Les nouveaux conquérants de l’économie, a dinner was held at Bercy under the sign of Recovery and Optimism. Nearly 150 executives came to represent the winning companies of the Choiseul ranking. The dinner was marked by an inspiring speech by the Minister of Industry, Agnès Pannier-Runacher, who reminded the audience that the French government stands by these “fighters” for recovery and that industrial employment in the regions is one of the keys to reinventing national cohesion.
On the occasion of this dinner, Boris Imbert, founding partner of Mawenzi Partners, made public the results of a Choiseul x Mawenzi Partners survey, based on a survey of the leaders of the winning companies to define the keys to their success (corporate culture, long-term strategic vision, innovation, pragmatism …) and their challenges (attractiveness, digitalization, international, supply chains, ecological transition).
